Don't wind me up like a toy
Your vision of me is a killer of joy~ 💙
Though her aim is sincere
She's missing the mark...
I'll be a witness in the silences
when words are not enough~ 💙
Just found out that one of the singers from the 90s Christian group, Avalon, was and is gay. Michael Passons was kicked out of the group after he refused conversion therapy. Absolutely awful, but here he is now, reclaiming his song, and doubling down on his message of love without borders. The Christian music I grew up with, although I'm no longer Christian, is still very important to me. There are so many songs with messages I agree with and relate to, that I'm slowly getting back to listening to again, and it's reclaimations like this one, that respark my love for these incredible songs, and what they represent. This is so deeply healing for me, and I can only imagine what it's like for Passons, being able to sing this song proudly once again.
I'm back in the saddle again~ 💙
Been picking up Rock Band again, specifically the 3rd installment, and my GOODNESS I've missed it. I work at a studio, stay after work to make my own music, then go home and play a video game where you perform music. I love my life right now. I absolutely love my life.
I'll trade my time for yours
Somehow I'm so sure~ 💙
Rose has been an incredible ally to all my musical endeavors thus far. She helped me when I was a student, and now, is my go to mixing and mastering engineer. No matter what crazy project I throw her way, she brings it to life. She also went to MediaTech, gradated there, became a studio tech (like what I'm doing now), started teaching there, and now has opened up her own studio named after this very song. She's a powerful songwriter, instrumentalist, and producer. A patient teacher, and friend. There's definately more to her story than what I've gathered in the this summary, but all this is to say, she's a powerhouse, and I'm so honored to be able to work so closely with someone this gifted.
